Senior Financial Analyst

Job description

If you think IBM is just a bunch of techies, we won't hold it against you. IBM Financial Analysts play a unique and integral role in driving business decisions, supporting operations and influencing business results. As a Financial Analyst you are considered to be a trusted business advisor, working within the company's business units and geographies, as well as in a myriad of specialized corporate functions.

In this role you'll be responsible for the analysis of the IBM forecast, budget, actuals and business metrics and dynamics. You'll interact directly with line management in the business units and geographies on the development of forecast and budget variance analysis, and provide ongoing business assessments and recommended solutions.

Sector Financial Lead Supports IMT Sector leader to achieve business targets (signings, revenue, cGP, PTI),

Cooperates with other functions (mainly Ops and DE) when supportive to achieve business results,

Supports IOT Sector CFO to achieve IOT Sector targets,

First contact point for IOT Sector CFO/ Consolidation Manager for finance specific queries,

Acts as a business finance advisor within the UKI IMT contracts portfolio,

Supports IMT Sector BOM with forecasting activities,

Reports IMT Sector daily assesments,

Supports backlog validation and quarterly backlog certification,

Interlocks with accounting in order to ensure proper Revenue recognition,

Business Lead for two assigned Sector Financial analysts,

Ensure that the deliverable expected from CoE F&P Sector for UKI are provided.

Gives work instructions to Sector Financial analysts,

Support IMT Sector DE by providing financial expertise for complex contract reviews

Required

Master's Degree
At least 3 years experience in Financial and Accounting Principles
English: Fluent
