The Business Analytics Center of Competency (BACC) is the CIO’s solution for Software as a Service (SaaS) and Analytics as a Service (AaaS) for internal IBM. Established in 2009, the BACC provides analytics services to over 400,000 IBMers. We offer turnkey services for boarding our Blue Insight analytics environment, so everyone can be developing solutions within minutes using an SaaS Cloud delivery model. We also offer Analytics as a Service, which is a business solution (as opposed to a technology service) that accelerates time to value. Analytics produces insights that inform action to deliver measurable business results to customers. In this flexible service model, client defines the level of support that he need and we provide the people, processes and technology to meet clients' requirements. We design and develop the solution using the right components from BACC's analytics offerings. We specialize in proof of concept and proof of technology analytics projects and can give clients the guidance to help them become self-sufficient in analytics. Business Analytics Solution Consultant provides analytic consulting services and works in partnership with internal clients, advising them how to use analytics in order to meet their business objectives. He/She is highly skilled in the use of BACC offerings, solution design and deployment. He/She will identify options for the client and suggest recommendations for change, as well as advising on resources to implement solutions. The day-to-day activities of Business Analytics Solution Consultant will vary depending on the client and type of project, but may include: Meeting with clients to define business requirements and analytical needs, understanding their pain points, work practices and the nature of their business Act as Scrum Master, facilitate Scrum events, build team cohesion, foster open and honest team communication Own estimation, forecasting and outward coordination and communication on behalf of BACC teams Coach on story slicing and backlog management, catalyze continuous improvement of process and practice Identify problems and resolve in a timely manner Lead agile development process of agreed solutions, or design and develop analytics solution Preparing documentation and presenting solution to customers and executives Organising training for users and other consultants Required skills and experience: Fluent English, excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills Working experience or understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies Versed in software engineering principles, frameworks and technologies Knowledge of Javascript, HTML,CSS and browser compliance Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimisation Excellent data visualisation skills Knowledge of the latest web technologies Strong customer service/client service skills Technical leadership in Business Analytics or SW development areas Experience with one of BACC offerings (Cognos BI, Cognos Insight, Cognos TM1, SPSS, Big Data, Infosphere DataStage, Hadoop) Data mining, cleansing, modelling, ETL techniques, model building and statistical techniques are plus(1468) |
