| Job description |
| The Business Control Professional is designed to be the Focal Point for Quality and Business Controls (BC) in line with worldwide Marketing processes. Within this role, he/she will be primarily responsible to coordinate and execute ongoing compliance testing of the given processes for the countries according with the guidelines received by worldwide, or Europe Process Owners or Marketing Transformation leader. Maintains an overview of the status of the countries within the given single process (e.g. Customer Events, Advertising Media, Sponsorship) that are executed in the countries to ensure that the BC process steps are covered and in a position to provide an independent assessment to the country marketing Leaders. The BC Professional has to guarantee process conformity with evidence to ensure peer reviews, audits and management self assessments are satisfied. He / She assists line management with the coordination and reporting of management self assessment of controls (MSAC) and WWBCIT (SOX) results, reporting and corrective actions and drive implementation of business controls, in order to actively ensure IBM’s reputation for business ethics and integrity. Key Responsibilities: Execute ongoing sample testing for Europe Marketing countries Raise test cases in MSAC and WWBCIT and update them with test results Insert root cause analysis for the defects found Assist the operational team in defining action plans Assist/Ensure MCC comply with Sarbanes-Oxley WWBCIT SOX 302/404 control requirements and provide input for MSAC, SOX Entitled focal points and ensure proper audit management system Support Audit request from countries by collecting and reviewing documentation Support the countries in any concern that requires BC guidance Identify, help to prevent and reduce business risks Promote efficiency and effectiveness of business operations Evaluate the input for the quarterly/annual Certification Letter Assist/Ensure that the SoD matrix is in place and updated in compliance with Corporate guidance Independently validate actions have been adequately addressed prior to confirming closure Assist in control point reviews to ensure controls are clearly defined with detailed test plans and testing attributes to mitigate risk Execute Worldwide, EMEA and country process activities within Centre Compliance Testing reviews, follow up actions, new process implementation Share skills and knowledge throughout involved functions & Centre |
