Hadoop Software Sales Specialist 

Job description
IBM is all about Analytics. The Hadoop Sales Specialist is a quota-carrying sales specialist responsible for opportunity identification, progression and closing of software sales that solve our customers Big Data and Analytics challenges. IBM's leading products in categories such as data-at-rest (Hadoop/Big Insights), data-in-motion (InfoSphere Streams), and data-in-the-cloud (Cloud Data Services) are the focus areas of this position.

This position is for a self-starter who compels others to get on board. You communicate an inspired and optimistic vision and win over colleagues, customers and business partners alike with your articulate negotiating skills. You are known for your strategic operating skills, and you’re constantly on the lookout for prospective deals and new business opportunities. You thrive in an independent mode but also value collaboration.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a strategic and comprehensive business plan for the assigned territory, including identifying core customers, mapping the benefits of IBM solutions to the business requirements.
• Understand the customer’s organizational structure and work to achieve alignment.
• Full responsibility for forecasting (within +/- 10%), deliver accurate monthly and quarterly revenue targets, facilitation of agreed account and business plans and meet ongoing career development goals.
• Coach partners, accessing resources within IBM to support them on specific opportunities, with the goal of building sufficient capacity to meet customers’ demand for IBM-related services and skills.

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4 years experience in Enterprise Software Sales
  • At least 2 years experience in Open Source Applications, Big Data, Database and/or Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Application Integration
  • At least 2 years experience in cloud based solutions for On Premise and/or Off Premise Managed Solutions
  • English: Fluent
