IT Asset Manager

Reporting to the Technology and Digital Solutions manager, the IT Systems and Support person will manage the group and IT Service Desk. He/she will work closely with administrative/management leadership and Al Thuraya Holdings team (Our mother company) to plan, design, and develop technology infrastructure and deliver technology services in support of organizational operations. They will represent IT group in divisional and inter-divisional meetings related to IT systems, policies, and operations.

The Systems and Support person must understand and be able to maintain the LAN administrators, functions for all computers and communication devices. This role will have day-to-day responsibility for local IT systems, including client (Mac and PC) and server (application, backups, and storage) computer systems management, networking (copper/fiber cabling, Cisco switches), and telecommunications (VOIP) and (Skype for Business). The Systems and Support person will act as a resource for staff, including technical guidance, and will have some hands-on responsibilities. They will be recognized as an expert in networking, IT systems, and related technologies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensures that critical local IT systems - network, network security, desktop clients, and servers - run reliably and consistently.
• Works closely with Al Thuraya Holdings IT department to ensure that critical enterprise services such as email, network services, and cloud storage are delivered reliably and consistently.
• Works in close collaboration with security to manage projects such as new cameras, NVR, and card access installation, as well as development of maintenance plans for campus security systems.
• Advises and implements technology solutions that meet departmental needs and coincide with Al Thuraya Holdings global technological landscape.
• Participates in the establishment of technology policies - in particular, the areas of network security, appropriate use - and practices and implements them to ensure security and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains relationships with customer base - staff- to better understand their needs and address organizational goals.
• Within functional scope has direct responsibility for the design, development, and application of technical solutions that satisfy customer needs and are essential to the ongoing operations of the department or IT function.
• Is responsible for managing multiple IT projects, including requirements gathering, planning, delegation of component tasks to team members, and monitoring progress toward completion.
• Other duties as assigned.
