Our client is a highly innovative organisation in the Medical Device Sector. Their Manufacturing & Distribution site is in Athlone, Co Westmeath with HQ based in USA. They have another site in Asia. The organisation is working on very exciting and innovative products for export to a Worldwide Global market. They are looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer to develop their Automation Testing area in Athlone.
Duties:
• Create automated tests
• Understand the application so manual test cases can be automated with minimal interaction with the test cases creator
• Create Test Cases, where necessary
• Execute automated tests
• Enter defects and interact with software engineering on the resolution of defects

• Must have a minimum 5 years of test automation in C#, Windows background.
• Extensive background in test design
• Experience with the following test types: Functional, Data validation, Usability, Software/hardware integration )
• Strong understanding of software design and programming with C#
• 3 years writing test cases and performing manual testing.
• Medium to strong SQL skills
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Must have excellent “can do” attitude with very good initiative a self-started.
• English - Good communication skills written & spoken.
• Open to candidates from Ireland, EU and outside EU. Our client will assist with Visa requirements, where needed.
Nice to Have Skills:
• Experience working with Visual Studio/TFS; including creation of test cases/test plans, running tests, using source control, entering/tracking defects, etc.
• Experience testing Windows applications
• Experience testing iOS apps
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
