JOB PROFILE – INVESTMENT BANKER

The IIB European Regional Office was opened in Bratislava, Slovakia on April 14, 2015 with the aim of providing additional support to IIB’s operations in its five EU member states as well as in Europe in general, promoting the growth of the Bank’s investment activities, developing relations with European partners and investors and increasing the IIB’s visibility in the region.

Key responsibilities
  • Attracting long-term debt financing and public debt financing by issuing bonds, securing loans from banks, IFIs, development institutions, investment and other funds, funding by other financial instruments;
  • Attracting structured financing, including with the participation of export credit agencies (ECAs);
  • Participation in trade finance transactions through cooperation with ECAs and financial institutions;
  • Building, developing and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective partners of the Bank.
Requirements
Education:
  • University degree in Economics, Finance or Banking;
  • Additional education and certifications (MBA, CFA and other) would be an advantage.
Work experience:
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in treasury, debt and structured finance and on debt capital markets;
  • Experience in working with corporates and financial institutions in EU member states of the IIB (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria) offering banking products and services and/or on their debt capital markets would be an advantage;
  • Experience in conducting negotiations and presentations, public speaking.
Knowledge, skills and competencies:
  • Excellent knowledge of the market environment (financial institutions, investment and other funds, corporate clients, loan and investment products and/or funding instruments), EU member states of the IIB and pricing;
  • Established contacts with the executive management of targeted partners would be an advantage;
  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment applicable to IIB’s activities in the EU member states of the Bank;
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with financial institutions, investors, funds, rating agencies and corporate clients;
  • Practical skills in attracting debt and structured financing, collaborating with investors, financing with coverage by ECAs;
  • Ability to work with specialized resources (Bankers Almanac, Bloomberg);
  • Excellent knowledge of English (advanced level and higher);
  • Good knowledge of Russian (intermediate level and higher; IIB working language) would be an advantage.
