Job description, responsibilities and duties
University degree, at least Masters in Finance/Accounting/Banking/Audit/
Minimum of 10 years of work experience in preferably in audit, controlling, tax. Managerial background from one of the Big Four auditing companies highly appreciated
Excellent command of English language – minimum level C1
Understanding of the IFRS and US GAAP standards
Willingness to commit to work contract for at least 3 years
Professional competence and ability to work under pressure
Financial/Accounting certifications (CFA, ACCA, etc.) are of advantage
Basic function:
The chief financial officer position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and controlling areas of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
Principal accountabilities:
Finance and Planning
Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
Develop financial and tax strategies
Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
Operations
Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team
Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the Board and with shareholders
Monitor the accounting, human resources, legal, tax, and treasury departments
Financial Information
Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
Oversee the issuance of financial information
Report financial results to the board of directors and shareholders
Review and approve all financial statements filed with authorities
Risk Management
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry
Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
