Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
For our longterm client, international company in pharmacy industry, we are looking for suitable candidate for the role of
"Accountant (independent role)"
The main responsibility is to perform end to end accounting for the Prague SSC branch. The role is quite independent, it has variability of work and the knowledge of czech accounting is neccessary.
Other tasks include:
- processing GL journal entries including various acruals, prepayments, payroll related entries
- cooperation with other GL departments (fixed assets, intercompany transactions, VAT, all in US GAAP)
- ensuring compliance with SOX
- active communication with stakeholders
- being main point of contact for external auditors
- monitoring of timely invoice and payments processing towards suppliers
- supporting financial controller on budget controlling
- etc.
The suitable candidate should have:
- Fluent English to business standard (at least C1 level)
- Knowledge of czech accounting is neccessary, US GAAP is an advantage
- Experience in accounting/finance 2-3 years
- Very good Excel knowledge
- Experience from international corporation environment, ideally share service center
- The ability to multi-task with a high attention to detail
