In Thailand there are many teachers from native English speaking countries(USA, Canada, UK, Australia) who teach English language in Thai schools.
For a limited number, there are job openings in the following semester from October 2014 for European „non native English teachers” as well. There are two ways to meet the basic
Requirements:
1)Degree in education, English as a foreign language teacher (Bachelor or Masters degree)
or
2) TEFL or TESOL certificate and a degree in any other field(Bachelor or Masters)
-teaching experience, clear pronunciation
-very important the positive attitude and adaptability to other cultures
Job description:
-teaching English language in Thai government schools (kindergarten, primary or secondary)
-working hours from 7.30 to 16:00 from Monday to Friday
-lessons in a week 20-22 hours
-in the classroom the emphasis is on conversation, speaking and fun activities and the Thai schools expect such English lessons from foreign teachers
-salary is around 1000 USD (30000 Thai Baht) per month+/-10% depending on your experience and education

Living in Thailand:
Cost of living: The salary of a foreign teacher is much higher than the average salary in Thailand. The cost of living in Thailand is very cheap and many foreigners live in Thailand due to the nice weather and the friendliness of the Thai people. Some prices as examples:
renting an apartment for a month: 150 USD , lunch with soft drink 2 USD
For those teachers who will get a job offer we will help to find accomodation close to the school. The teachers should arrange their tickets to Thailand at their own costs from their home country.
