PRODUCT MANAGER RF POLYMERS EUROPE (m/f)

Location: Home Office Europe or located directly at one of our European sites (Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden, United Kingdom, Switzerland)


Job Summary

You are the guiding force for meeting the regional growth, profitability and return on asset objectives of the RF Polymers product line. You have primary global responsibility for developing the strategic plan for your products, integrating the plan with global, regional and functional plans, obtaining necessary approvals for human and financial resources from management and achieving the agreed upon goals through the global, regional and functional organizations.

In this position your main responsibilities are:
  • Plan, lead and manage the entire life of a product line from the identification of market opportunities through design development, product launch, market penetration and growth as well as the end of life phase
  • Manage and drive product line results in their region including all channels of distribution, all market segments and to all customers
  • Identification and communication of a business strategy resulting from a thorough understanding of our customer’s requirements, the competitive environment and the Laird technology core competencies for each product line
  • Regional pricing, working with sales management to insure that the appropriate level of pricing authority and accountability is in place to allow Laird to respond to competitive opportunities as well as threats while meeting the profitability
  • Provide product as well as application training, including competitive strategies and responses, for all appropriate Laird Technology sales channels
  • Provide a foundation for manufacturing planning and capacity by developing a forecast of demand by product
  • Establish product cost, quality and delivery requirements
  • Establish a marketing communication and promotional strategy for the product line
Profile:
  • A Master degree in mechanical or chemical engineering (or equivalent by experience), a Business degree is desirable
  • Previous experience with microwave absorbers and/or conductive elastomers is advisable
  • Experience in technical B2B sales or product management in electronics industry is an advantage
  • Able to strategically plan future product opportunities and demonstrate strong entrepreneurial skills in translating those plans into commercially successful and profitable product offerings
  • You show leadership, take initiative and are persistent
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and like to share things with others
  • Fluency in English is required, knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage
  • Computer literacy (mainly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Thirty to forty percent travel may be required in order to meet business objectives
  • Candidate should be based in Europe and may work from home office if not residing in the vicinity of a Laird site
