Job Overview:
Under general supervision, the Desktop Support Engineer maintain, and assist in ensuring all Laird Liberec desktop users at all times having fully functioning equipment and solutions, implementing client systems and their integrations according to Laird Technologies’ business requirements. Key areas of focus for this role are: client system deployment, hardware and software management, and management of backend server infrastructure supporting Desktop Services (Citrix, VMware)
Responsibilities:
•Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot local and remote PCs, phones, printers and other client side equipment.
•Assist with implementation of systems as business needs require.
•Resolve tier 1 & 2 Helpdesk tickets

Job holder background, skills and abilities:
•Experience working within an international organisation
•Experience supporting desktop IT needs for at least 100 users
•Strong command of spoken and written English
•Experience in Desktop Services including managing multi-site Active Directory / Windows XP / Windows 7 environments, Windows Servers, Citrix, KACE and Orion desired.
•Ability and willingness to travel if required (up to 10% of time)
•Able to work successfully in a fast paced, demanding and ever expanding environment with emphasis on getting things done and in resolving challenges
•Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and under pressure
Educational and work background:
•Formal training in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or substantial experience within IT
•3-5 years of IT related experience.
•Experience working within an international organisation
