Job description, responsibilities and duties

• As Lenovo continues to gain momentum and market share in both the PC & PC+ industry, there is a vital need for logistics providers who can both support the current business requirements and assist Lenovo to accelerate to the next level and beyond.
• This role will be the key interface for the EMEA Logistics team with the logistics suppliers and freight forwarders.
• This role will work to monitor & control Retail deliveries, translating Retail Customer requirements into operational processes for carriers to execute.
• The main objective of this role is to work closely with the carriers to deliver an operational service and performance of the highest caliber.
• This role will need to communicate effectively and assertively with carriers to ensure they provide a world class service and back it up with excellent customer service.
• This role will need to understand the inner workings of the EMEA logistics network and be able to identify areas of weakness or opportunity and work with carriers to recover or exploit as required.

Key Responsibilities
• Operational Performance Management of logistics partners across EMEA
• Take a lead role in the operational management of Direct Retail service with carriers – ensuring all key customer requirements are met, deliveries are executed to the highest standards and late / poor deliveries are kept to an absolute minimum
• Drive weekly / monthly performance reviews with carriers
• Publish weekly / monthly carrier scorecards to Lenovo and provide performance summaries to wider Logistics management team and GSC
• Ensure carriers meet the agreed operational KPIs and deliver “Best in Class” service to Lenovo
• Ensure that carriers operate an effective BMS and can identify & quantify root cause issues
• Hold carriers accountable for operational issues and review recovery action plans and improvements and drive actions to closure
• Ensure carriers maintain effective discrepancy and incident reporting and that open issues are closed quickly and effectively
• Work with carriers to develop and implement ongoing improvements and innovations to the service / network they provide to Lenovo – this could be focused on cost or speed
• Work with the Provider management team to prepare and manage the QBRs for each carrier – ensuring issues are raised and actions completed and followed up

• University degree qualified individual
• Experience working in 3PL environment or managing a logistics network
• Experience and knowledge of executing deliveries and working with Large Retail accounts
• In depth operational knowledge of domestic & international freight networks – all MOTs
• Experience in analysing and optimising logistics solutions to offer cost effective and fast customer delivery
• Broad knowledge & experience of the transport & logistics industry
• Effective Project Management for implementation of logistics solutions
• Effective interpersonal skills for co-ordination and management of distributed international teams
• First class customer service skills and approach
• Confident and “Can Do” attitude coupled with drive to deliver results and professional integrity
• Dynamic and high performing individual with keen analytic and problem solving abilities
