Job Description Summary

Responsible for the planning, development and implementation of environmental, health and safety programs for Kourim Site. Member of the Site Leadership Team.

Job Description

• Manages security department, fire protection, security and environmental protection in accordance with valid laws and regulations
• Develops and facilitates training and safety awareness programs
• Reviews risk factor data regarding technology transfer
• As part of a proactive policy he is responsible for the processing and regular update of the risk management strategy for
• Kourim site in line with Lonza strategy
• Communicates with the corporate functions, timely provides all required information and reports and the proper evidence
• Introduces and implements risk analysis for new processes, existing processes, investment projects, as well as for procedure and processes changes
• Supervises regular inspections of appliances and equipment, as defined by legislation
• Manages safety audits and implements the measures taken
• Acts as a waste manager
• Acts as a person qualified to solving security challenges in the prevention of risks to health and safety at work
• Acts as a person qualified in the field of hazardous chemicals
• Acts as a safety adviser for the transport of dangerous goods (ADR)
• Acts as a person qualified in fire protection and responsible for fulfilling the duties of fire protection, and represents the company towards authorities of state fire supervision
• Fulfills the function of Site Security Coordinator, which includes responsibility for the company surveillance system and operation of the gatehouse
• Continuously monitors legislative requirements within the assigned areas
• Acts as a management representative for environmental management system according to ČSN EN ISO 14001
• Instill a culture of continuous improvement

We expect:

• Master´s degree in Occupational Safety, Life Sciences or related field
• 5+years in development and management of a safety program, preferably in biotechnology, pharmaceutical or related environment
• Interpretation and application of state regulations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Good organization, record keeping and planning skills
• Must be independent and self-directed
• Fluent in Czech, very good knowledge of English
