Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
* General mission :
* Ensure availability of components and other production material in right time, right quantity and right quality (in terms of logistics aspects) at minimum transportation cost and minimum inventory level.
* Main activities :
* manage procurement team
* ensure all logistics protocols are in place
* ensure correct master data settings to be in line with company strategy and logistics protocol (where applicable)
* ensure, that daily activities of procurement teams is executed in order to supply production lines w/o interruption
* ensure, that proper call off/forecast are sent to all suppliers
* make sure the pickup is done on time in right quantity
* make sure, that stock in transit is followed in order to have material available on time
* manage emergency situation to avoid line stoppage at Valeo at minimum premium freight cost
* ensure that delivery discipline of suppliers is followed by procurement team on daily basis (backlog and over-deliveries are monitored and solved)
* update the stock projection on weekly basis
* manage logistics indicators in the area of responsibility (RM TT, premium freight on purchase)
* Responsibilities and authorities:
* Responsible for staffing the department within budget and ensure availability of sufficient personnel to keep all activities at all times
* Responsible for on-time delivery of components and raw materials
* Authorized to issue logistics incident to suppliers in case of conflict with logistics protocol
* Authorized to approve or reject vacation to procurement team within labor code standards
* Authorized to take a decision to make premium freight up to 200eur in case of absence of Supply Chain Manager (unless otherwise restricted by management)
