From the start you will be responsible for leading one of the Inland Delivery Team dedicated to the Czech/Slovak/Hungarian and Austrian market. It will be your role to be the active driver of delivering C/H transports and help Maersk Line to satisfy the customer. You will need to act as the focal point for decisions and escalations as well as to keep the combination between operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Reporting directly to the Inland Delivery Manager, as an Inland Operations Supervisor for Dispatch Teams you will be dealing with projects, optimizing processes in combination with systems, structures and be the interlink between departments.

As part of a global network, you will be working closely with the NEULOC team, Transport Vendors and Customer Service department.

Key Responsibilities
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the dispatch teams by handling daily transport challenges and coordinate between management and associates.

• Delegating tasks such as planning, optimizing and executing inland transports in line with support and government activities to delivery volumes and performance as per target.

• Maintaining a positive relationship while working closely with the staff to build a strong team through coaching, goal setting, and constructive feedback.

• Ensuring the employees are focused on customer service and moving all units legally within guidelines.

• Building strong working relationships with local carriers to ensure that Maersk is a cost leader.

• Monitoring, recording and reporting cost savings, service failures and empty equipment inventory to department manager, along with suitable recommendations.

• Planning and executing all day to day Transports with close cooperation of the Manager.
Who we are looking for
As an ideal candidate you should have at least 2-3 years of work experience on a similar position as well strong knowledge of inland operations, equipment and/or transport.

Geographical experience on one of the following markets is a must: Polish, Czech, Slovakian, Hungarian, Austrian.

We expect you to be a strong communicator, able to build relations at all levels and have the natural ability to lead a team.

Additionally, you must be an independent problem solver who is able to easily handle day-to-day business under time pressure and resolve ad hoc issues.

Customer oriented behaviour and as stakeholder management skills are a must for this role.

Since the corporate language is English, proficiency in written and spoken English is a key requirement.
