About our projects:

For our client, successful international company with IT team based in Prague, we are looking for professionals for the following positions: Active Directory Specialist.
We are looking for more candidates and team members. Experience and motivation for Active Directory is necessary!
Starting date ideally immediately/1 month.

Major accountabilities:

• JOB PURPOSE: Performs the support, operational, monitoring and control activities of the Active Directory Services (ADS), including all supporting components / tools / processes for proper operations
• We´re looking for Senior Active Directory System Operators + Team Leader as well
• Supports the Active Directory (AD) services and supporting components (i.e. – WINS, DFS, etc.) offered to customers inside and outside of Global Infrastructure Services
• Provides support and operations for all Active Directory related issues
• Ensure day to day operations (i.e., but not limited to performance monitoring, capacity management, event & security monitoring) of AD and supporting infrastructure and the necessary actions are taken
• Identifies and resolves problems that may impact daily operations.
• Provides support and assistance to customers to identify and resolve technical problems.
• Escalates issues / problems to other support organizations as necessary.
• Reviews and ensures compliance of technical operating instruction manuals, system documentation, work instructions, processes, standards and procedures.
• Performs technical analysis of work load, equipment loading, performance bottlenecks, and software changes and makes recommendations for improvements
• Execute change management activities as required.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements – technical knowledge, experience and skills:

• Senior profiles with excellent skills in Active Directory
• Min. 3 – 5 years of IT experience in operations and system management tasks
• 2 – 3 years’ proven experience with administering Microsoft Active Directory and related technologies (i.e. – WINS, DFS, etc.)
• Experience supporting a globally spanned (international) environment
• Experience in the area of Identity and Access Services
• Desirable: ITIL V3 certification
• Ability to communicate effectively; Proven track record working with multinational teams
• Inspiring and trusted personality; Strong understanding of business requirements
• Working within a serviced based organization with a customer facing role; Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
• University working and thinking level, degree in computer science or comparable education / experience
• Excellent English – spoken and written
• Understanding of the respective business requirements
• !! As the role is part of a global organization, willingness for required travelling is important.
• !!As this is a support and operational position the ability to work different shifts and provide weekend on-call support is by some candidates required

Other Accountabilities:

Carries out defined tasks to support the delivery of day-to-day operational activities in a timely and reliable way.
• Performs back-ups.
• Carries out console operations, i.e. monitors the status of specific systems, job queues etc. and providing first-level intervention if appropriate.
• Ensures that batch jobs, archiving etc. are performed.
• Runs scheduled housekeeping jobs, such as database maintenance, file clean-up etc.

Provides incident and problem analytical support in support of resolution, follow up and prevention thereof.
• Reviews incident data to analyze assigned problems.
• Investigates assigned problems through to resolution or root cause.
• Coordinates the actions of others as necessary to assist with the analysis and resolution actions for problems and known errors.
• Raises requests for changes (RFCs) to resolve problems.
• Monitors progress on the resolution of known errors and advising incident management staff on the best available workaround for incidents.
• Updates the known error database (KEDB) with new or updates known errors and workarounds.
• Assists with the handling of major incidents and identifying their root causes.

Provides end-to-end analytical support to ensure the delivery of Service related requests.
• Provides a single point of contact and end-to-end responsibility to ensure submitted service requests have been processed.
• Communicates service requests to other IT resources that will be involved in fulfilling them.
• Escalates service requests in line with established service level targets.
• Ensures service requests are appropriately logged.

Plays a key supportive role in ensuring the successful end-to-end deployment of deployment activities associated with a release.
• Provides feedback on the effectiveness of the release.

Responsible for designing infrastructure components and systems required to provide a service.
• Ensures a detailed specification of technologies and products as a basis for their procurement and customization.
• Defines and maintains knowledge about how systems are related and ensuring that dependencies are understood and managed accordingly.
• Ensures the consistent and reliable performance of the infrastructure to deliver the required level of service to the business.
• Defines all tasks required to manage the infrastructure and ensuring that these tasks are performed appropriately.

Plays a key supportive role in the definition and deployment of optimal approaches to manage fixed assets under the control of IT and ensure optimal configuration.
• Supports the process owner and process manager in the creation of principles, processes and procedures.
• Performs configuration audits.

Plays a key supportive role in the operational delivery of a process.
• Carries out one or more activities of a process.
• Works with other stakeholders, such as their manager, co-workers, users and customers, to ensure that their contributions are effective.
Creates or updates records to show that activities have been carried out correctly

Key performance indicators:

• Operational excellence: measurement through BSC / KPIs and customer satisfaction surveys.
• Achievement of agreed targets in terms of quality, time and cost. Ensure stable and well performing system environment.
• Achievement of service levels corresponding to industry best practice (price/performance etc.)
• Achievement of modern technology and operations concepts according to industry best practice
• Levels of collaboration/working relationship/personal acceptance achieved with customers inside and outside of Global IT Infrastructure
• Apply professional competencies to administrate and optimize the assigned system environment.
