Popis pozice

  • Deploy and support various types of network tools as well as automate various actions or tasks related to network management and support
  • Configure and tune each tool for optimal operational results based on the tool's functions
  • Embed automation into the tooling or in standalone tasks
  • Management activities including: developing monitoring standards for each device types and events, automating actions based on specific events or series of events, assisting network delivery team with problem determination and resolution, enabling the utilization, customization and/or automation via the appropriate tool(s)
  • Work with other colleagues across IBM to: develop IBM's network tooling strategy, determine the integration of network tooling into the overall IBM tools strategy, work with the architecture community to design deployment models, act as an expert network tools resource, create and/or assist in the creation of various technical documents such as business cases, architecture diagrams, technical solution diagrams and presentations, host meetings and participate in reviews of these tooling solutions
  • You may interact with both IBM and customer executives, other competency architects, project managers, technical teams and management

Profil kandidáta

  • 2+years of proven network tools experience
  • CCNA/CCNP certificate
  • Scripting/programming language expertise
  • Deep understanding of network protocols
  • Server OS skills (mainly Linux)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Past experience with some of the following would be an advantage: AlgoSec, Firemon, Tufin, VitalNet, Riverbed, NetBrain, Solarwinds suite, IBM network management tools (ITNM, ITNCM, TNPM), experience with ITIL/ITUP environment
