Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

- The candidate will be a member of the local leadership team in the Czech office, working closely together with the local top management as well as the CEE Headquarters of the company abroad
- Management of the small back-office team consisting of 2-3 people
- Responsible for monthly, quarterly and on request reporting to meet all legal, local and the group requirements
- Responsible for statutory and corporate accounting and all back office processes including IT, administration, compliance and HR
- Responsible for payroll processes
- Responsible for the submission of tax declarations and yearly financial statements
- Provide commercial oversight and assistance of the services being delivered to clients
- Responsible for the financial services (corporate accounting, credit control, settlement and payment) being provided to clients as per their requirements and arrangements
- Responsible for thorough analysis of each P&L, Balance sheet, and cash flow statement
- Coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions
- Review costs and perform cost benefit analysis
- Provide the HR function and consult on employment law where required
- To work closely with the management of the CEE region, sharing knowledge, developing best practices
- Implement ongoing systematic improvements in processes and procedures to maximize the efficiency
- Manage and foster the Company's relationship with third parties, such as internal and external auditors, banks, tax authorities
- Challenge, drive and document improvement in the business processes from a quality and efficiency perspective

Information about the selection process

- University degree in the field of finance or economics
- ACCA/CIMA qualifications will be an advantage
- At least 3 years of experience in a financial controlling role either within a consulting company or a company in the commercial sector
- Strong knowledge of International and local Czech accounting standards
- Practical knowledge and use of IT software MS Office, MRI, Magnitude, Helios
- Solid understanding of local Czech tax system
- Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills
- Ability to provide clear leadership
- Ability to work across various functional areas and to interact with individuals across all levels throughout the organization
- Native Czech and Fluent English skills are required
