Job description, responsibilities and duties

Main Responsibilities
The production manager supervises and manages the shop floor employees with the shift leaders and team leader to conduct the manufacturing process according to the plan in the required quality, quantity and on-time. In this context the main focus is skilled people's management in the given shop floor environment which assures that the employees conduct their work according to the given work- and process instruction, respect the given health- safety- and environmental instructions and proactively contribute continuous improvements of the production process.

Work content:
* Preparation of the daily shop floor plan for each department and shift assuring the proper manning to conduct the production
* Production performance follow up per department and shift assuring to meet the given production plan
* Conduct continuous coaching of shift leader, team leaders and shop-floor employees to assure the full comprehension of work- & process instructions and controls, health & safety instructions, productivity recording and communication matrices
* Train, supervise and motivate employees to proactively contribute in continuous improvement efforts of the company in quality- productivity standards as well as in health- and safety standards
* Steady monitoring of process parameters to assure consistency and react according to the communication matrices in the case of inconsistencies
* Monitor and record the production output per department and shift to assure to meet the given production target, trigger and conduct corrective measure in case of inconsistencies
* Conduct and/or participate the regular management-and team meeting of the plant and provide all required output- & performance data of the production providing full transparency, trigger and conduct corrective if required and follow up
* Practice proactively 5S-concept in the shop floor to assure a clean, orderly, safe and well organized shop floor environment which steadily thrives to minimize non-added value time in the manufacturing steps for each department
