Management and Fundraising Officer

Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of Bátor Tábor Ceska Republika and supervise the activities of Nadácia Bátor Tábor Slovakia – two closely related fundraising foundations. Duties and responsibilities include managing daily operations related to areas like administration, finance, fundraising, marketing and awareness raising, personnel. The Management and Fundraising officer will need to work in Prague and in Bratislava – regular travels will be necessary.
The Management and Fundraising officer:
- participates in the development and preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based upon broad organization goals and objectives, present annual progress and activity plan for the supervisory board
- makes sure that the plans and financial targets are completed (170k-200k EUR/year) and the foundation is operated in a precise, transparent and timely manner in compliance with regulations and laws
- runs the exisiting campaigns: event, charity running campaign „Tym odvahy” (www.tymodvahy.cz). Involves and recruits staff and external professionals if needed. Appraises and evaluates the results of the operations and the campaigns regularly and systematically.

- reports to the representative of the founder on a regular basis (biweekly on budget and results to Director of Development Bátor Tábor Hungary, quarterly to CEO Bátor Tábor Hungary)

- identifies new corporate or individual donors, coprorate partners, events, maintain relationship with exisiting ones, keep track of donor contacts, identify and test new ways of fundraising

- raises awareness of the charity in accordance with the annual plans

Bátor Tábor organizes free of charge therapeutic recreation camps in Hungary for annually over 850 campers, who experience that skills and abilities believed to be lost or not existent are indeed there. At the camp sessions children take part in a great variety of programs such as archery, horse-riding, high-ropes course, rowing, drama, music and many more, facing challenges and gaining success. Owing to the therapeutic efficiency of the program the self-esteem, the peer relations and the disease perception of the children develops measurably. Nadácia Bátor Tábor Slovakia and Nadacni Fond Nadace Bátor Tábor Ceska Republika was established to raise funds necessary for the participation of Slovak and Czech children.
