Job description, responsibilities and duties

JOB SUMMARY:

• Defining, documenting and safely executing security infrastructure projects
• Engaging stakeholders at the appropriate level to ensure that expectations are managed and that the aims of the programme or project continue to be aligned with business needs and strategies as they evolve
• Providing effective leadership to the project teams assigned and monitoring tasks
• Preparing and maintaining project quality and risk plans and tracking progress against the plans, providing regular progress reports
• Estimating project costs, timescales and resource requirements in relation to agreed terms of reference
• Managing a change control process in relation to the project/programme


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fully accountable for leading assigned security project(s)
• Responsible for managing day - day project actions, managing the project budget
• Conduct regular project and steering meetings
• End accountability for maintaining all project management administration
• Maintaining timely, high quality data in the programme database


REQUIREMENTS:

• At least one of the following project management certifications (Prince 2 practitioner, PMP or IPMA)
• Minimum of five years of experience delivering Security and Telecom Projects and Network, Wide Area Network (“WAN”) & Local Area Network (“LAN”)
• Extensive knowledge and practical experience of firewalls/proxies and Intrusion Prevention devices to include manufacturers such as Checkpoint, Resilience and Blue Coat
• Excellent customer facing skills
• Language skills are of special interest, particularly English, Arabic and Russian (Excellent written and spoken English language is vital)
• A University degree/Higher National Diplomas (“HND”)/Higher National Certificates (“HNC”) or equivalent in Telecommunications, Computing or Engineering Sciences
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety Exec (“HSE”) requirements
