Job description, responsibilities and duties


NATEK Software Application & System Support Analyst is responsible to identify application and system problems, or any incident that is disrupting the application service that business users depend on, find solutions and assist tool’s users.
The job calls for both technical capability and business understanding.
Crucially, applications are production, or live, some issues need immediate attention: an unflappable temperament is a must.


Natek internal tools is a ERP like system, that consist of number web applications created to support Natek day-to-day operations. Natek solution is using number of different technologies like Java J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, PHP, MySQL. Natek tools project lasts for many years, is constantly improved, so it requires proper validation, support and administration.
Consultant will be assigned to support team working on assuring system stability and functionality.


Assist Users
  • Provide excellent application support on the phone, in person and through email, live chats... Ensure service levels are met.
  • Educate clients and explain features and functionality of software applications
  • Follow the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process, including meeting all gating criteria for each phase in the life cycle.

System administration and Support

Determine problem and fix issues
  • Define problems, analyze symptoms, identify root cause
  • Recreates reported software problems to facilitate solutions.
  • Deliver solutions by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding users through corrective steps
  • This includes validating the fix for the software problem.

Release Management and Deployment
  • In relation with Development Team, define release package and manage deployment with User. Define Beta version and beta sites for major new release if needed.
  • Organize software update process for existing applications and coordinates the roll-out of software releases.

System improvement and other parties product
  • Ability to support and train on any product or software that interfaces with the tools; engage all parties with troubleshooting when needed.
  • Improve system performance by identifying issues and recommending changes


  • Programming language: PHP, Java
  • Server OS: Linux, Windows Server
  • DB: MySQL
  • Application Servers (JBoss, Tomcat)
  • Software Tool: SVN
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3 or more years' experience
  • Thorough understanding of Software Development methodologies and full lifecycle development
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve difficult problems
  • Positive and “can-do” attitude
  • English skills
