The Implementation Engineer (IE) is to provide the engineering functions to implement Unified Communication &
Collaboration (UCC) features and technical support on a site basis deployment for voice gateways. The role is
based within the Shell Life Cycle Management team within our client.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and feedback for on-site implementations including remedial actions
- Review design and implementation documents and provide input if necessary
- Request DNS changes, IP addresses, and VLAN's to be implemented and LAN ports enabled
- Request firewalls to be updated for new service, tests circuits with suppliers, test gateway configuration
- Liaising with customer local site contacts for testing and remediation if needed
- Request and get approval for Commit to deploy and raise technical change requests, for installations and service migrations
- Pre-install meeting attendance and resolve issues from pre-install meeting
- Support equipment installation remotely and document implementation schedules
- Liaise with other 3rd parties to assist in migrations and testing
- Support migrations, first day of operations, providing support for on-site staging when needed
- Quality assurance of all analogue lines and hard phone information
- Support testing of mediation server (support Server Hosting team when needed)
- Provide implementation and change plan to third parties
- Reporting and providing feedback to management
- Providing technical details for support organization: drawings and design documentation
- Manages all technical interfaces within the agreed stage gate delivery model and acts as a technical consultant to all parties.
- Coordinates and oversees technical activities with Vendors, Customer, on-site support, other bundle supplier, Telco providers, etc.
- Take on-hours/off-hours calls to assist in resolving a production voice issues/outages

Requirements:
- Knowledge of traditional TDM Voice / telephony and IP telephony (including signaling, protocols and
codecs)
- Knowledge of Microsoft OCSR2 or Lync voice solution (MS Active Directory and Server knowledge
beneficial)
- Basic knowledge of networking (practical experience beneficial)
- Understanding of enterprise architectures, routing, and transport protocols
- Good knowledge of the Telecommunication market
- Should have an understanding of current industry trends and their advantages with ability to right fit into an existing environment
