Job description, responsibilities and duties

OVERVIEW
The Indirect Procurement Manager will be responsible for the procurement of a defined portfolio of indirect services ensuring involvement in all external supplier activity within this portfolio and redesigning and implementing process changes leading to a more streamlined function of indirect procurement across the business. You will be targeted by year on year cost reductions, the quality and service level of procurement services and operational implementation of approved process changes.


RESPONSIBILITIES
* Managing supplier Quality, Cost & Delivery
* Review service performance specifications
* Understand and follow relevant legislative requirements at both local and European level
* Design and implement process improvements across all categories as required in line with lean methodology
* Continued implementation of NIP (Non inventory purchasing) across Europe
* Develop and deliver sourcing strategies across the total supply base for all spend within a given category working with internal and external stakeholders as required.
* Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships internally and externally to support the delivery of the team and wider business objectives
* Deliver appropriate supplier agreements for all goods and services for given areas of responsibility to meet the organisation's spend targets and service & performance levels
* Ensure optimum commercial terms are secured whilst ensuring best fit for the business requirements.
* Supplier performance monitoring and on-going supplier review / evaluation.
* Ensure that effective and robust contracts are in place for all areas of responsibility.
* Ensure adherence with all compliance standards and that the team operate with integrity at all times.

Successful applicants will have excellent business acumen with the ability to spot opportunities for negotiation in the sourcing of suppliers and on-going re-negotiation of agreements. They should be results focused and action oriented having the ability to think strategically. Successful candidates should have a strong track record of working in a fact paced organisation with excellent negotiation experience across a wide variety of categories; this could include both direct and indirect purchasing categories.

This role will be suitable for candidates currently at Senior Buyer, Strategic Buyer or Category Manager level who are seeking an opportunity to join an organisation where they will have real exposure and opportunity to further their experience and ultimately their overall career goals.
