Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for a high energy Technical Marketing Engineer to develop & promote high voltage Gate Driver IC business in power conversion applications. The highly visible position will be key enabler to develop & promote system solutions for power applications using ON Semiconductors Corporation’s PIM modules, IGBTs, MOSFETs, Rectifiers and other power discretes & management products.
Responsibilities:
* Define, develop and support best-in class high voltage gate driver IC solutions for high power industrial motor drives, UPS, solar inverter, power supplies & automotive inverters
* Market & technology analyses for existing gate driver solutions & technology trends
* Develop product roadmap & technical requirements for a portfolio of HV gate driver ICs for target market & applications
* Work with design, applications & processes teams in various location to successfully execute product roadmap
* Build and test hardware, software prototypes to verify new product performance
* Characterize, debug and test companies new HV gate drivers ICs and their applications in customer designs
* Design and develop new product evaluation and demo boards
* Generate sales collateral such as data sheets, application notes, customer presentations
* Provide product technical training to Sales and FAE organizations
* Conduct on-site training and seminars on customer sites in various regions
* Using SPICE and other simulation tools, perform system level simulations on new HV gate drivers in intended applications
* Design and present demos for trade shows and technical conferences
* Write and present technical papers and design articles highlighting new product performance
* Participate in regulatory and industry organizationDevelopment and support of design verification tools

Requirements:
* University degree in Electrical Engineering (PhD is preferred)
* 5-10 years of experience in HV IC design and/or application; experience in high power gate drivers for PIM modules is preferred
* Experience in high power conversion (DC/DC and DC/AC) design, development and applications
* Ability to do circuit simulation and PCB layout
* Work closely with design, test, device engineers in varied locations in a team environment
* Establish and maintain strong working relationship with customers, business marketing, FAEs and sales organizations
* Good Czech and English communication skills (both verbal and written)
* University degree in Electrical Engineering (PhD is preferred)
* 5-10 years of experience in HV IC design and/or application; experience in high power gate drivers for PIM modules is preferred
