Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Assist with audits and monitoring procedures
• Review and update local policies to ensure alignment with group framework, local law and best practice. Ensure documentation is current and posted as appropriate on internal sites
• Attend local Health & Safety Committee meetings and update documentation as required
• Gather data for preparation of metrics and collection & collation of KPIs only
• Identify and communicate with local H&S teams, key areas of best practices and provision of practical solutions for key topics (industrialize processes)
• Collect and collate information from countries on the status of local Crisis Management planning
• Set up governance for local CM roll out including testing programme and assist with implementation
• Documentation storage and internal communication processes - assist with refining and maintaining the governance of the system for collection and collation of key underwriting data,
• Assist with defining and maintaining processes for global insurance programme governance including key activities and document archives
• Monitor the various trusted information internet sites and key information sources regarding main H&S / crisis issues, assist with communication to relevant audiences

• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience working in health & safety areas of responsibility
• Knowledge and experience with GLOBAL exposure of corporate insurance programmes
• Experience in an international business environment
• Previous experience working in a remote management and matrix management
• Collection and collation of data from various ‘remote’ sources and locations
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills
• Committee work and minute taking
• Self-starter, proactive and dynamic with a positive attitude
• Ready to learn and ask questions
• Setting up records management systems
