Job description, responsibilities and duties

- 5-10 years’ experience as a product manager
- Experience with any Business Intelligence (BI) toolset, OLAP technologies (slice-and-dice), and/or multi-dimensional data modelling (e.g. Star Schema design)
- Experience and knowledge of “big data” reporting services and analytics
- Experience with analytics toolsets (e.g. Data Mining tools, Statistical tools, etc.) is a plus
- Experience creating product documentation such as business and functional requirements
- Familiarity with web development technologies
- Experience working directly with senior management and software developers
- Experience managing resources regarding project scope and delivery
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with JIRA or similar bug/ issue tracking software is a plus

Piano Media is currently looking for a Product Manager to manage our Analytics and Reporting products. You must be organized, patient, and an excellent communicator. You will work on the interface between Product Management and Analytics teams and will work cross functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Customer Service, Customer Relations and Sales teams. You will be responsible for managing several existing products and infrastructure components and also lead the effort in defining new products and components. You will plan and create project schedules around new product development and enhancements. You should have a keen understanding of product management and product development requirements in the context of Analytics or Business Intelligence. You should understand traditional and emerging technologies, ask all of the right questions, take pride in successfully owning your products and managing all projects -- big and small -- to completion, and work well with others. - Lead the effort and create business and functional requirements for new products and enhancements to existing products
- Effectively communicate with all departments for owned products
- Act as project manager to create project plans and coordinate development across all Analytics & Reporting projects
- Act as escalation point and owner for all product issues
- Support sales at client presentations and help gather requirements
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Manage a priority list of requested enhancements and bugs and review with senior management on an ongoing basis
- Manage product lifecycle including product rationalization decisions and communication
- Work with Marketing to produce needed sales collateral (both internal and external) and product documentation
- Organize and conduct end user training (internal and external)
