Product Manager Liabilities (m/f)

RBI's Retail Liabilities Product team - located in Vienna - is responsible for steering the private individuals' (PI) liabilities portfolio composed of current accounts, savings accounts and term deposits. PI liabilities is an important funding source for the Group; the portfolio is distributed in multiple currencies in 14 countries. The team manages the portfolio volume to target maximizing its income.

Your tasks:

  • Managing PI liabilities portfolio in 14 countries, implementing the Group funding strategy for PI liabilities, steering the portfolio to target maximum yield
  • Breaking down the strategy into actionable steps to be adopted by network banks, coordinating multi-country projects in pricing, product development and portfolio management area
  • Preparing inputs for annual budgeting, management meetings and the Group ALCO
  • Developing and maintaining the technical infrastructure for RBI HO liabilities steering
  • Managing the regular reporting process, verifying data quality and reliability, resolving discrepancies with local teams
  • Analysing key liabilities business performance indicators, their trends and business performance gaps
  • Organizing and steering meetings with peers in network banks to agree on and apply measures impacting KPIs closing gaps
  • Partnering with Balance Sheet Risk Management, Integrated Risk Management and the Group Treasury Steering teams on development / adjustment of risk and FTP policies or ALM measures intended to steer balance sheet
  • Analysing local liabilities product pricing and parameters with a focus on minimizing funding costs
  • Handling and resolving ad-hoc requests raised by local teams concerning transfer pricing, balance sheet steering, interest rate/liquidity risk and modelling, product design and pricing

Your qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in banking, treasury, balance sheet or liquidity risk management
  • Professional experience in banking products with focus on liabilities, financial modelling skills
  • Experience in regular reporting processes in banks, budgeting and planning
  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of MS Excel (knowledge of database systems/SQL is a plus)
  • Excellent command of English; CEE language and German of advantage
