Senior business development Specialist - Innovative technologies

We have a strong cooperation and are lead recruitment partner to a leading brand in the production and distribution of innovative medical devices. As an arm of a larger pharmaceutical group, this medical device organisation enjoys outstanding support structure, growing investment and ever expanding opportunities on the global market. A requirement has arisen within this group for a Senior Business Development Specialist to actively work on changing the distribution channels of their most innovative medical devices from distributors to direct sale channels and to expand the market coverage and market share within an ever developing Czech market.

Major function
To increase sales of specific innovative medical devices in line with sales targets and agreed plans and campaigns
Key responsibilities
Operate the below mentioned responsibilities with an overall target of moving major flow channels from current lines through distributors to direct sales to customers within large hospital network covering the whole Czech Market.
• Reporting directly to the Czech country lead, pro-actively establish relationships and connections with new clients and hospital groups and maintain existing relationships whilst selling the new, alternative device options of newly developed products.
• Effectively and efficiently cover the large national territory presenting the company brands and products and provide training, assistance and advisory services to medical professionals within target hospital groups.
• Sell company products in accordance with company programmes and instructions in respect of both time and methods.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of products, product developments, customer profile and market.
• Maintain up-to-date accurate customer records.
• Make professional sales calls to key personnel in targeted hospitals.
• Follow reporting systems as laid down by the company. Monitor and report relevant competitive product or customer information to his/her Manager.
• Maintain good working relationships with all decision makers relevant to product groups in hospitals on territory.
• To follow all internal processes and polices and external legal requirements with particular attention to FCPA.
• To set up proper business/marketing strategies with maximum profitability, to ensure proper spending and samples control and effectiveness.
• To closely cooperate with Customer Service Department.
• To identify, actively participate in preparation and monitor outcome of tender offers within the whole Czech market.

Personality requirements and skills

Required competencies, skills and education
• At least 2 years experience in medical sales. Preferably in Medical devices, may consider pharmaceutical background as well.
• Degree level education preferred
• Advanced proficiency in English language – all materials, training and product detail is in English due to the global structure of this company.
• Native Czech or Slovakian.
• Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
• Self motivation and self drive – this role is establishing an area with little previous coverage so the role shall require high levels of self motivation in order to succeed.
