Reed is working with a successful Czech based company, recognised globally as a leader in advanced control technology for the power generation sector. They have grown from a family sized business to one with over 250 people in their Czech head-office, 7 other subsidiaries abroad and a client base that is spread over 105 different countries.
As new global projects are won, they require a Senior Hardware Designer to join their team and assist in the development and verification of their continually evolving technologies and products.
Role description
As a Senior member of the company you will be a motivated Hardware Design Engineer with a passion in electronic design. You will be involved in all areas of the development, verification and manufacturing process from concept through end-of-life. As a member of friendly and creative team, you will work with the latest and continually evolving technologies on various exiting projects.
As the Senior Designer you will be involved in HW architectures and platforms, high-level design and project coordination to push technology forward for exciting projects.
The RnD centre has over 100 engineers and is equipped with oscilloscopes, spectral analyzer, simulators and generators for EMC tests, climatic chamber etc., supporting your everyday work to have your designs tuned-up easily in-house.

Job functions
• Circuit design (architecture, analog systems, digital systems, power blocks, communication interfaces, displays, etc.)
• Schematics entry and PCB layout design
• Participate in the selection and specification of the components and technologies
• Debug issues at all stages of design, development and manufacturing
• Write and edit technical documentation and reports
• Research new technologies

Personality requirements and skills

Essential qualities and skills

• Master degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in the field of electronic design and manufacturing
• Understanding of digital, analogue and mixed signal circuit design
• Simulation and design tools (Altium Designer, OrCAD)
• Experience with board-level troubleshooting and EMC
• Teamwork and language skills (Intermediate English)
• Driving license (group B)
