(Senior) Backend Developer in the Finance Development Unit (Graduates welcome)

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The LoB Finance team combines software engineering excellence, thought leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit in order to deliver breakthrough innovations in financial and real estate solutions for SAP customers across various industries and financial areas. The development approach for such innovations is user-centric, applying different methods such as Design Thinking and Agile Development within short project cycles. Throughout the innovation process, we collaborate closely with customers, partners, and other SAP units.

SAP group is currently founding a new development unit with a global setup that will focus on development of front-end apps, leveraging latest technologies and latest SAP backend logic of the S/4HANA Finance and other ecosystems. The unit will be at the very forefront of development activities of the LoB Finance and the overall SAP P&I Development organization – leveraging latest technologies, with highest visibility and impact.

As part of the team, you will be working in a dynamic and diverse environment that values involvement in the entire product development cycle, from first customer interaction to conception, coding, design, testing, and delivery to the customer. You will be working on new applications with the goal of delivering state-of-the-art user experience. In Brno we will establish a unit that will concentrate on innovative frontend applications for Financials, giving you a jumpstart into SAP’s latest and strategic technology platform.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

•Experience with backend software development in a highly self-motivated, agile and reliable manner is a plus.
•Build up and expand business knowledge within and beyond Financial and Management Accounting.
•Desire to design, develop, test and deploy leading edge financial business applications.
•Desire to acquire quickly and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies and frameworks, e.g. UI5, Fiori, HANA platform.
•Write automated tests for quality assurance.
•Be open and motivated for different working models such as Scrum and Agile Development and Design Thinking
•Enthusiastic to work in a dynamic and challenging working environment with changing requirements and constantly changing technologies.
•Administration of continuous delivery pipeline and productive cloud infrastructure
•Collaborate closely with other development teams, product architects, frontend developers, QA experts and domain experts.
