Job description:
- Our client aims to expand its market position in the Czech Republic. The company’s clients are mainly from the field of trade, meat industry and professional consumers.
- The Head of Sales will be wholly responsible for sales development, customer service to existing customers, new customer acquisition and market development in the Czech Republic.
- Leadership, coordination, motivation and control of the local sales staff (including back office).
- Derivation, planning and implementation of the established goals according to company’s strategy in your field of responsibility and communication of those to the employees.
- Definition, planning and implementation of the established goals concerning revenue, profit and market penetration in the Czech Republic, including sales planning (pieces/kg), as well as planning of sales prices, profit contribution and turnover.
- Intensive Key-Account-Management.
- Establishing and maintaining of long-term business relations with current customers and new customer acquisition at all decision-making levels.
- Ensuring of intensive techological customer consulting and service.
- Market, products and competitor analysis, especially concerning potential trends and product innovations.
- Identification of mark chances and potentials.
- Implementing of new products development and specified customer solutions in close cooperation with customers and product development department in the head office.
- Developing and expanding the network of distributors as well as their support.
- Developing individual sales and marketing programs and strategies for the different regions.
- You use your technical competence and business skills to provide the customers with individual solutions, actively conveying the benefits of “your” products.
- Reporting (also directly to the headquarters)

Job requirements:
- Excellent command of Czech (native speaker level) and good command of German and/or English, both spoken and written.
- Several years of successful sales- and management experience, preferably in a similar position in food industry with focus on meat industry, preferably in food technology oriented production company, preferably within an international company.
- University degree (preferably food technology or, with appropriate working experience, also food technologist or economist possible).
- Sound and thorough knowledge of food processing.
- Good market and/ or product knowledge.
- Ideally you already have existing network in food industry at the Czech market, especially in the meat industry.
- Pronounced sales strength, high negotiation skills and competnces.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
- You are very strong leader, you are convincing and know how to assert yourself in dealing with both customers and staff; on the other hand you cultivate a team-oriented management style.
- You are competent and proactive and have pioneering spirit and show own initiative.
- You are focused in your actions and approach, your conduct is confident and friendly.
- You are team-minded and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prominent communication and presentation skills as well as good language expressive abilities.
- Good conceptional and organisational skills.
- Willingness to travel throughout Czech Republic.
