Job description, responsibilities and duties

- As Head of Controlling, you are responsible for the implementation and development of the plant-controlling according to the controlling concept of the group.
- Management and control of the operational daily business in areas of controlling and of finance and accounting
- Supporting the management in respect of all commercial objectives and questions
- Monthly profitability analysis and variance analysis
- Cost and business years planning
- Develop and ensure the controlling processes, particularly the budget planning with the sales and financial planning, monthly reports and the preparation of forecasts
- Identification of optimization potential along the entire production process, derivation of measures to improve the financial result
- Development and implementation of controlling instruments, cost center and cost unit accounting and contribution margin accounting
- IT-coordination at the site
- Management and motivation of the employees in the area of responsibility
- Reporting

Our client is an international company from a German-speaking country and one of the leading companies in the steel industry in Europe. The medium-sized company has a long tradition and operates several production sites and subsidiaries all over Europe. The product range covers basic products and also components and complex assemblies in the same way. For the production site in Czech Republic there is the position as Head of Controlling - Ekonomický – Finanční ředitel – Hlavní účetní - to fill. After successful cooperation a promotion to the position CFO/Commercial Manager is foreseen.

Personality requirements and skills

- Excellent command of Czech (on a native level) and good command of German and/or English, both spoken and written.
- Several years of successful professional experience in a similar management position, preferably in a manufacturing company
- University degree (Economics) or comparable economical qualification
- Good knowledge in Controlling and also external accounting
- Good knowledge in MS-Office programs and knowledge in SAP/R3 (FI, CO)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Personnel and leadership experience
- You have excellent leadership skills; you are convincing and know how to assert yourself in dealing with the staff at all levels.
- You are competent, proactive and focused in your actions and approach, your conduct is confident and friendly.
- You have a „proactive“ personality and pioneering attitude as well as high degree of own initiative.
- You are team-minded and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
