Job description, responsibilities and duties

- As a Technical Director with commercial responsibility you have overall responsibility for the management of production and the commercial areas of the Czech production site.
- Formulation, planning and implementation of the established production, market and profit targets in close cooperation with the Headquarters
- Leadership, motivation and control of employees at the site, both in production as in the Administration
- Operative ensuring of a modern, smooth production, taking into account quality, processes, costs and deadlines in the daily business
- Control of order and cleanliness of the entire production area
- Control and continuous improvement of safety standards and occupational safety in production
- Implementation of the quality standards of the company in the production and continuous quality control
- Develop and implement a results-based optimization strategy for the production and the associated administrative areas
- Co-development and implementation of strategies for profitable processing of different contract structures (orders with different planning horizon, quantities, technical and qualitative standards and cost of materials)
- Budget and investment planning for the production, including the control of implementation
- Management of the site in commercial point of view (for example, P & L responsibility, local accounting, etc.)
- Representation of the company to from tax authorities, administration, banks and audit firms
- Reporting

Our client aims to expand its market position. In cause of a succession in the plant in Western Bohemia the position of the Technical Managing Director is to fill.

Our client is an international company from a German-speaking country and is among the leading companies in their segment in the metal working industry - kovovýroba / průmysl. The medium-sized traditional company operates also a highly automated production site in Czech Republic. At this production site the position of Technical Managing Director - technický ředitel (with commercial responsibility ) is to be filled.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

Technical degree (preferably mechanical, process or industrial engineer, also economist with very good technical skills and experience in metalworking production) or similar qualifications

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Driving licence


Personality requirements and skills

- Excellent command of Czech (on a native level) and very good command of English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of German is an advantage.
- University technical degree (preferably mechanical, process or industrial engineering or equivalent technical education; also economist with very good technical skills and experience in the metalworking production)
- Several years of successful professional experience in a similar management position, preferably in a medium-sized manufacturing company, preferably from the metal working or processing industry
- Good commercial knowledge
- Preferably good market and industry knowledge and experience in metalworking and / or mechanical engineering desired.
- HR and leadership experience, ability to motivate and to lead a team
- You have excellent leadership skills; you are convincing and know how to assert yourself in dealing with the staff at all levels.
- You are competent, proactive and focused in your actions and approach, your conduct is confident and friendly.
- Good understanding of general perspective as well as distinct ability to solve problems.
- Pragmatic working approach
- You have a „proactive“ personality and pioneering attitude as well as high degree of own initiative.
- You are team-minded and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
