Job description, responsibilities and duties

- As a Plant Manager - ředitel závodu / fabriky - you will be responsible for the organization of the production, the order processing as well as the further development of the production site in Czech Republic.
- Formulation, planning and ensuring the desired production and profit targets in close cooperation with the head office - výroba, plánování, řízení
- Leadership, management and motivation of the employees at the site, both in the production and in the administration
- Operational assurance of a modern, smooth production taking into account quality, processes, costs and dates in the day-to-day business - výroba, kontrola kvality
- Continuous improvement of production processes
- Implementation of the quality standards of the company in the production as well as permanent quality control
- Development and implementation of a result-oriented optimization strategy for production and the associated administrative areas
- Consistent development of lean management methods
- Conception of new manufacturing technologies
- Budget and investment planning for the production, including the implementation control
- Management of the site in commercial point of view (for example, P & L responsibility, local accounting, etc.)
- Representation of the company to from tax authorities, administration, banks and audit firms
- Reporting

Information about the selection process

At the Czech production site, the position of the plant manager is to be filled. A further intensive expansion of the Czech plant is planned. In case of successful cooperation a promotion to the position Deputy Managing Director is possible and foreseen.

Our client is an international company from a German-speaking country and is among the leading suppliers of electronic assemblies as well as complete devices (for different industries) - elektrotechnika, výroba, stroje. The medium-sized company belongs to a large German company group and operates a production site in Czech Repbulic.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

Technical degree or similar qualifications, preferably Electric Eng.

Language skills

German - Upper intermediate (B2)

Driving licence

Personality requirements and skills

- Excellent command of Czech (on a native level) and very good command of German, both spoken and written. Knowledge of English is an advantage. Good basic knowledge of German will be sufficient only in case of good English language skills in addition to the willingness to improve the German language to a good level.
- University technical degree (or comparable technical education, or even economist with good technical skills and experience in electrotechnical production), preferably electrical engineering
- Several years of successful professional experience in a similar management position, preferably in a medium-sized manufacturing company, preferably in the electrotechnical industry
- Experience in automotive industry is an advantage
- SAP knowledge is an advantage
- HR, management and leadership experience, ability to motivate and to lead a team
- You have excellent leadership skills; you are convincing and know how to assert yourself in dealing with the staff at all levels.
- Pragmatic solution orientation
- You are competent, proactive and focused in your actions and approach, your conduct is confident and friendly.
- Good understanding of general perspective as well as distinct ability to solve problems.
- Pragmatic working approach
- You have a „proactive“ personality and pioneering attitude as well as high degree of own initiative.
- You are team-minded and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
