Job description, responsibilities and duties

- As an Application Technician, you act as an interface between the company and the customer. You are responsible for the technical product management and you have to connect the company's products to the customer's wishes and to deal with the technical support of the sales process.
- Development of technical solutions for specific, usually tailor-made customer requirements, including the analysis of market and customer needs, customer’s situation (sales and marketing), marketing as well as creation and integration of concepts
- Internal as well as external application development of products
- Calculation and construction of components and assemblies
- Supervision of application and development projects
- In this function, you act as a "problem solver" and a central point of contact for national and international customers.
- Development of design variants, estimation of feasibility and effort, preparation of schedules
- Processing of inquiries and support in the offer process
- Planning of various tests including the control of their execution, evaluation and documentation of the test results and the initiation of further optimization
- Reporting

The company aims to expand its market position in the Czech Republic. Due to the expansion of the Czech Production site is currently a vacancy for a position as Application Technician to fill.

Our client is an internationally operating company from a German speaking country, which belongs to leaders in development andmanufacturing of technical complex solutions for different industries, e.g. machine building, automotive, agricultural machinery, consumer goods industry or furniture industry. The company has a long tradition and operates several production sites and numerous branches and sales offices.

Candidates with education suit the position

Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

Technical University degree or similar technical qualification (engineer or technician)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) or
German - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- In addition to a very good knowledge of Czech language (native speaker level), you have good command of English and/or German, both oral and written.
- First successful experience in a similar position, preferably within an international company, preferably in a manufacturing and/or automotive supply industry
- Technical University degree or completed technical education (preferably engineer, mechanical engineer, engineer or technician)
- Experience in application engineering, design, development (preferably in the automotive sector)
- Solid 3d CAD skills (SolidWorks and/or CATIA)
- Goodd MS-Office skills
- Pragmatic solution orientation
- High level of competence in communication, argumentation and negotiation
- Good skills in time management
- Competent, independent and goal-oriented style of working
- You are competent, proactive and focused in your actions and approach, your conduct is confident and friendly.
- You are a "proactive" personality with a high degree of self-initiative and commitment
