Job description, responsibilities and duties
General information:
The job holder will provide support for the management of activities of Basic Design Configuration Unit in the electrical area under the supervision of the Head of Electrical/I&C Unit. The activities include evaluation of Design Change Proposal in comparison with Basic Design and Basic Design Amendment preparation; Execution of RoC-SBDA (Request of Clarification – Statement of Basic Design Author) process in the Electrical area. Considering the actual stage of MO34 Project, the job holder will also be involved in the next phases of the Project with regard to electrical part and solution of issues with impact on Basic Design which will most probably arise during the Commissioning phase.
Main job tasks:
• Assessment and follow-up of Request of Clarification to the Basic Design;
• Assessment and follow-up of Design Change Proposal in comparison with Basic Design;
• Follow-up of preparation of Basic Design Amendments documentation;
• Spot follow-up of specific detailed design documentation prepared by Contractors aimed at monitoring its completeness with the Reference Basic Design (and mostly Design Basis);
• Support to develop/comment licensing documentation;
• Activities to support specific Detail Design/commissioning outstanding issues which may require intervention of Basic Design Responsible.

Personality requirements and skills
• Qualification: University degree in Electronic, Electrical, Nuclear engineering or equivalent professional training;
• Experience: Five years (preferable) of professional experience in design activities in a nuclear power plant;
• Deep knowledge of Nuclear Power Plants Electrical Systems and (required) in general of electrical engineering in order to get knowledge of the Basic Design of MO34 in short term;
• Autonomy in problem solving and full understanding of design issues;
• Knowledge of WWER 440 Nuclear Technology (preferable);
• Multidisciplinary approach to provide assessment of complex design solutions/issues (the job is related to electrical discipline, but according to its nature it requires deep overall knowledge also in other disciplines, especially I&C-Process);
• Good written and spoken English language;
• Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain harmonious working relations with staff at all levels in a multicultural environment.
