JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of the Installation and Commissioning Engineer (ICE) role is to positively contribute to the project results through successful coordinated management and execution of multiple tasks in alignment with Installation and Commissioning (I&C) function priorities and objectives. The job holder operates with a moderate to high level of autonomy, and collaborates with peers and superiors to operationalize goals and priorities in line with the strategic direction for the project.
He / she has day to day accountability for the successful delivery of the tasks for which he / she is owner, in order to achieve time, quality and cost targets, within financial, contractual and health and safety parameters.
Each project delivered by SPX Flow is led by a Project Manager supported by a project team.
The job holder may be assigned to specific projects as Installation Supervisor (IS) reporting to the Site Manager (SM), Process Commissioning Engineer (PCE) reporting to the Commissioning Team Leader (CTL), as CTL reporting to the Site Manager (SM) or even as Site Manager reporting to the Project Manager. It will depend on the size of the project, its complexity and the level of skills and abilities he / she will have demonstrated.
The job holder will usually be allocated to a specific Project from the beginning of customer site operations when assigned.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Process Commissioning Engineer has overall responsibility and is answerable for all commissioning activities in relation to his specific assignment. He / she is responsible for implementing the materials and powering MCC panels and control cabinets, for the instrumentation setup and He / she troubleshoots any mechanical and electrical failure, for starting the plants up including the utilities and for checking that the contractual performances are met.
He / she supports the customer during their performances qualification and train the operators,
attends any meeting on the Site Manager demand.

• Installation Qualification
• Operational Qualification support
• Performance Qualification support
• Customer training

As Installation Supervisor, he / she is responsible for:
• Prefabrication checks, Factory Acceptance Tests
• Site reviews
• Mechanical installation supervision
• Installation Qualification (as well as the PCE)
HE/She is responsible and answerable for the areas he is assigned to by the Site Manager. He / she coordinates and manages the contractors involved in these areas. The Site Manager can delegate any of his tasks to the Installation Supervisor.
Outside of these primary roles, on request of his I&C direct manager, He / she could be assigned to support any I&C dedicated activity such as:
• I&C cost and time assessment during SPX projects bid phase
• SPX I&C invitations to tender preparation
• I&C planning
