Job description, responsibilities and duties

Our client is a global leader in the oil and gas industry, with strong presence in the Central Europe region. The client is currently opening a new expert position - Business Controller for its Bratislava based team. His / her main focus will be to make an effective bridge between business and finance, between the regional and local management, making sure that the business unit supported has got accurate and up to date information about the sales in our region, segmented with clear strategy suggestions.

Responsibilities:
• Combines regulatory required and management reporting activities and analyses on a periodic and ad hoc basis. These can be of both quantitative and qualitative nature.
• Provides management and the commercial team of the selected business unit with economic and financial advice concerning their regional activities.
• Co-ordination of the planning & control cycle.
• Advising on the financial and economic impact of strategic issues.
• Solve complex issues and problems from the business.
• Develops and harmonizes result tracking, steering KPI's and prepare adequate planning and steering reports.
• Timely and accurate compilation of regular reports and its distribution, data provision for ad-hoc queries.
• Central focal point for the business unit budget.
• Participating in projects.

Personality requirements and skills

• 3+ years of experience in a controlling position in some international corporate set up; previous multi-country controlling experience of advantage. Big4 financial audit experience would be as relevant as the corporate controlling experience.
• He / she has both demonstrable strong communicating and analytical skills as well as a solid commercial understanding
• Understanding of financial processes within an international sales organisation
• Ability to develop management reports and other relevant management information
• High understanding and experience of using IT and ERP systems for administrative effectiveness
• University degree, preferably Business Administration or equivalent
• Native Slovak, very good English
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Structured approach
• Motivated, dynamic, eager to learn, team player
• Good know-how of financial reporting systems (ie SAP, SAP BW, TM1)
• Excellent MS Office Skills (Excel, Power Point, Word)
