Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Planning, controlling and implementation of regional goals. Coordinating other finance related operations. Supporting regional management as well as local management in assessing performance and forecasted performance of the region and its units, as well as individual projects.

• Developing strategic and operational regional controlling approach
• Streamlining the regional cost center budget process
• Coordination, compilation and analysis of the monthly reporting and forecasting
• Monitoring and analyzing monthly operating results against budget
• Interface to central controlling - preparation of decisions, deciding about requests for approval as well as presenting monthly business reviews
• Process analysis and creation of improvement concepts and regional controlling tools
• Investment calculations and due diligence tasks during M&A activities
• Leading a local controlling team, coordinating a virtual finance team in EE
• Monitoring KPIs
• Support and monitor roll-out of SAP module into non-SAP countries

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Proficiency (C2)

Personality requirements and skills

Competence / Knowledge / Experience:

• University degree in economics
• 5+ years of experience in controlling and finance in international environment
• Excellent Excel knowledge, database knowledge (e.g. Access)
• Team management experience or very good leadership understanding
• SAP knowledge of advantage
• Readiness to travel (30%)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; (verbal, written and presentations).
• Goal oriented results driven with a strong desire to see tasks through to completion. Realistic and pragmatic approach to objectives.
• Ability to interact professionally and comfortably at all levels within a matrix organization.
• Native Slovak, very good English, German knowledge of advantage
