Microsoft SQL Server database administrator

• The candidate will work within database team to ensure 2nd and 3rd support with focus on production environment, deployment, performance, tuning and support of Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure (versions 2008R2 – 2014).

• Usual tasks will also cover activities like installation, maintenance jobs/activities, backup and recovery strategies, monitor and fix database issues.

• Candidate must have extensive experience in OLTP and OLAP relational databases, good knowledge of various server components like Reporting Services, Integration Services and Analysis Services, good knowledge of Transact-SQL.

• Participate in 3rd level project support aimed on improvement of existing Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure.

• Provide 2nd level support on-call duty in non-business hours and during weekends.

• The candidate should be motivated, sensitive to risks and controls, work well under pressure and possess strong problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work in multinational teams, willingness to travel on short business trips abroad.

• Good verbal and communications skills and very good team player.
