The Role

2 MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Design electronics circuits for safety system components • Plan and conduct design qualification testing • Liaise with other departments including mechanical, SW & SQA • Liaise with Factory Production Engineering and Test Engineering • Support manufacturing during new product introduction and product continuation • Give assistance to Field Support Department in resolving installation problems • Liaise with suppliers and service providers, including approvals organisations • Maintain adequate knowledge in relevant technical development • Comply with Company standards & procedures • Job may involve co-ordination of small projects • Job may involve some International travel

Skills & Experience

3 PERSONNEL SPECIFICATION Knowledge & Experience • 5 years relevant experience in R&D • Digital / Microprocessor electronics including Embedded Software • Analogue electronics • Communication technology • Applying technology to commercial solutions • Good verbal and written English is required • Experience in any of the following fields is favourable • Project Management • Programming CPLD/FPGA in VHDL • Design for production • Experience of design for compatibility with International Standards • Field Bus design • EMC design Training & Qualifications University Degree in Electronics Engineering or similar Disposition • Interpersonal skills to operate in a small team and with other teams • Good communicator, both verbally and in writing • Highly motivated • Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques • Quick to learn • Tenacious in problem solving
