Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
• Manage a growing software development and validation team
• Report to the SW Manager to align project deliverables, global technology, strategy, process goals, quality goals, and resource planning
• Cooperate with other teams from hardware, optical, mechanical engineering and manufacturing
• Coach and evaluate individual team member (currently 5 people) performance by giving appropriate feedback
• Conduct project reviews, design and code reviews and support SW process audits
• Take an active role in the SW standardization process (SW libraries, design and code reuse strategies and modularization.
• Manage internal process compliance and continuous process improvement
• Maintain a technical expert overview of embedded SW technology (tools, know-how, standards, manufacturing processes)
• Support new business wins by estimating SW engineering effort, required skills and resource needs and supporting technical presentations to the customer

Requirements for the employee
Candidates with education suit the position
Secondary with school-leaving examination
Language skills
English - Upper intermediate (B2)
Personality requirements and skills
• Master degree - in electronics engineering with a focus on embedded software development or several years of appropriate work experience
• English – good level as minimum
• Min. 5 years of professional experience as SW developer for embedded systems, ideally in the automotive industry
• Experience in SW development and process capability models like Automotive-SPICE, CMMi
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability and confidence to operate autonomously
• Strong focus on result delivering
• Ability to work in international environment and with global teams
• Willingness to occasionaly travel and visit other Varroc locations, customers or suppliers
• Driving license B
