Your responsibilities
In your daily work, with applications in the pharmaceutical business, you must be able to take on many different roles.
You will be working with new and further development of an own-developed system where testing and validation is very important because the demands from the pharmaceutical industry are very high. The technical support represents approximately 15% of the work, and consists of in-depth analyzes of complex issues and optimization of the application running in a dynamic, structured and professional support environment. You are involved in projects besides technical support work, so it's important that you have a good overview and are good at prioritizing.
With your analytical skills, you will be a partner for the clients, carry out analyzes and provide recommendations about upgrades, new technical solutions and new functionality.
You will be part of Application Outsourcing team
The Application Outsourcing department consists more than 200 people, and you get the opportunity to develop your skills among some of the best technical profiles within our business and technology area.
In the team we work internationally with colleagues in Denmark and a sister team located in China, we want to further strengthen these teams with a group in Prague.
It is expected that you have strong communication skills and understanding of cultural differences. There are weekly video conferencing meetings between Denmark and China which will include Prague in the future, and there is an ongoing daily dialogue around specific problems and tasks. This places additional demands on your professionalism and ability to have an overview of a complex system landscape.
The team is part of the Solutions division responsible for advising our customers on business and technology as well as designing and implementing IT solutions and applications.

A personal drive and curiosity in addition to a high level of professionalism is essential to be successful in this position so that you are able to take responsibility for the overall delivery and not just perform single technical tasks.
You are a technical specialist by nature - always curious and searching - and it has given you a deep insight that you like to share with your clients and colleagues. Therefore, you probably have a relevant Master or BA and extensive experience to draw on.
With your sharp analytical skills and ability to understand a large technical system supporting complex business processes, you are able to understand and explain complicated issues to both technicians, project managers and customer representatives.
You are keen to be a specialist in applications and integration on multiple levels where your solutions must meet very high standards for documentation and quality.
Experience with one or more of the following areas are a requirement
• DBA level experience with Oracle databases
• SQL and PL/SQL development
• SAS programming
Experience with any of the following areas will be an advantage, but not a requirement
• Clinical Data Warehouse technologies and domain knowledge
• ETL or Clinical Data Processing
• GxP knowledge
• CDISC
• Unix knowledge
• Shell / Pearl scripting
• Java development
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and occasional travel for meetings or on international projects can occur - primarily in Europe.
