Job description, responsibilities and duties
For a Prague office of a small American company, we are currently looking for two specialists (one with a team-lead ambitions, one more junior) for a really unique project from a pharma field.
What is the job about, what are the main activities?
* Write scripts to analyze data based on business rules for ad-hoc analytics projects and/or development and implementation of reusable data analysis tools.
* Identify data quality issues and recommend the best course of action to address them.
* Analyze and problem solve issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of data (for example, review for accuracy in record merge, unmerge processes).
* In collaboration with others, interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings.
* Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
* Develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results.
Additional activities for a senior role:
* Handle and resolve questions and issues referred by junior staff members
* Present and speak to analysis at a business level
* Assist with data identification, data acquisition, data cleansing, data preparation, completeness testing, data loading.

• Execute data activities such as data compilation, data conversion, and input of spatial data
• Data cleansing and address standardization
• Geocoding and coordinate conversion using custom software
• Background in various queries in Tableau/Spotfire/MS Access/Oracle or equivalent
• Assisting with other data-related tasks as required
• Experience compiling and manipulating data in different formats
• An outgoing, assertive yet pleasant manner towards clients, suppliers and co-workers
• Working knowledge of .csv, .txt, .xls, .xml file formats
• A good understanding of geography and spatial concepts, and experience using GIS Software Products i.e. ArcGIS/MapInfo would be an asset.
• Relevant University degree or post-secondary education, or equivalent working experience
• Ability to work well independently
• Strong problem solving skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, software development environment
• Exceptional communication skills, fluent in English (written and verbal)
