Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

- be a key team member of the Underwriting Insight & Analytics actuarial team
- working on the delivery of business insight across 28 Business Units
- work closely with the Global Head of UI&A to deliver clear and directive business insight into the underwriting performance of various Business Units
- leading of a team of analysts / actuaries who carry out actuarial analytical and MI reporting / systems development
- operationally and strategically support the Portfolio Management process (UPRs, GPRs) and embedding the Global standards within each Region and BU
- operationally and strategically support performance analysis of each BU/Segment on a quarterly basis
- support efficient production of standardised exhibits and tables on time and to high quality standards
- provide initial analysis of results against strategy
- motivate, drive, coach and develop individuals to achieve outstanding performance and inspire individuals through personal leadership style and behaviour.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

- actuarial qualification - advantage
- experience with people management
- knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting
- knowledge of the insurance industry - advantage
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to think clearly and logically
