Vehicle Energy Management Expert f/m

Your Responsibilities:

  • Project engineer in charge of boosting energy efficiency by meeting specified features at the overall vehicle level
  • Analyses of mechanical, electrical, thermal, hydraulic and pneumatic energy flows in the complete vehicle
  • Establishing physical and control-engineering energy models for the complete vehicle model
  • Presenting the effects of energy management measures on vehicle properties such as CO2 emissions, fuel consumption, driving performance and ride experience
  • Developing proposals for the control of energy flows in dependence on the targeted vehicle properties
  • Development of proposals for energy recuperation
  • Development of operating strategies for active vehicle systems such as aerodynamics and chassis
  • Functional development for the control of energy flows
  • Project support in the field of overall vehicle development in terms of optimizing CO2 levels and vehicle properties
  • Technical coordination and fine-tuning in customer projects
  • Coordination of interfaces across departments

Your Profile:

  • Mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electronic engineering, mechatronic engineering graduate of a university of technology/university of applied sciences or adequate qualification
  • Profound technical knowledge of overall vehicle development
  • Profound technical knowledge in the field of vehicle energy management
  • Experience in the development of measures to cut back consumption and measures of energy recuperation
  • Ideally with experience in vehicle simulation
  • Ideally with experience in the areas of powertrain, driveability and driving dynamics
  • Knowledge of simulation tools such as Matlab/Simulink or Dymola/Modelica
  • Very good command of English and German
  • The successful candidate enjoys lateral thinking.
  • Readiness to travel
  • High degree of self-reliance and motivation, excellent teamwork skills and good communication skills
Annual Remuneration: Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the intended annual gross remuneration(full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: EUR 48.000. We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
