Administrative Assistant

Primary Purpose of Position:

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting colleagues in the academic development and student experiences at the NC State European Center in Prague. This position will be supervised by the Assistant Director/Head of Administration in Prague.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist the Head of Administration and the Director in Prague
Collaborate with colleagues in the U.S. to ensure consistent procedures and communication
Assist in planning, organizing, and executing events and activities, such as workshops, conferences, delegation visits, and symposia
Support the daily administration responsibilities and projects of the NC State European Center in Prague
Coordinate and administrate student affairs activities during the academic calendar year (visas, arrivals, orientation days, excursions, departures)
Email correspondence in English and Czech
Other duties as assigned

Outstanding administrative and organizational skills
Detail oriented
Able to prioritize multiple tasks at once and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently, skilled at proactively solving problems
Strong communication skills; having a clear and open way of communication
Fluent in Czech, with very good command of English (written and spoken)
Exhibits empathetic and enthusiasm in interaction with students and colleagues.
