Senior Java Developer – payment systems (Vienna)

REED is seeking a Senior Java Developer with the passion for a clean code.

On this position you will be responsible for the Whole Development Lifecycle of a large financial system written in Java. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies in an agile environment for the market leader in its industry.


RESPONSIBILITIES
o Whole lifecycle of desktop and/or web applications
o Research and evaluate software related technologies and products
o Implementation of best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies
o An active role in improvement endeavours
o Working in an agile team (6-9 members)
o Coordination with enterprise architects, development leads and product managers to determine appropriate functionalities and implementation


REQUIREMENTS

Experience and Education
o University degree in technology-related field (e.g. computer science, MIS, etc.)
o 5+ years of working experience in software development in Java (or .NET)
o Hands-on experience with agile software development methodologies
o Strong understanding of Software Design Patterns and Enterprise Design Patterns
o MS SQL Server skills or similar
o Excellent command of English
